OVERVIEW:
The Monadnock Region Public Schools of Choice (MRPSOC) grant program brought new public school choices to southwestern New Hampshire. It also enhanced the quality of education that existing schools provided. The five year grant comes to a close September 30, 2007. The program:
- Supported the development of new programs within existing public schools as well as new small schools in the region.
- Helped students transfer from one area school to another that better suits their educational needs.
- Supported teacher, principal and parent training programs.
The MRPSOC grant program served 17 towns in the Monadnock Region: Chesterfield, Fitzwilliam, Gilsum, Harrisville, Hinsdale, Keene, Marlborough, Marlow, Nelson, Richmond, Roxbury, Sullivan, Surry, Swanzey, Troy, Westmoreland, and Winchester.
